Miniverse "Make it mini" Toy Recall
Approximately 21 million Miniverse “Make It Mini” toy sets were recalled in the U.S. on Tuesday, with one million more recalled in Canada, over reports of skin, eye and respiratory irritation and sensitization.
Did you see this coming? I know there have been concerns expressed over the past year in many of my miniature groups about these resin containing toys being marketed to children.
I myself have made a few of these but knowing the hazards around liquid resin I took precautions. Most children do not so I am happy these are no longer in the toy aisles.

The following is from MGA
Miniverse Make It Mini Sets with Liquid Resins
Hazard:
The recalled Make It Mini sets contain resins that, when liquid, can cause skin, eye, and respiratory irritation or sensitization when inhaled, touched, or ingested by children or adults. The resins contain acrylates (hydroxyethylmethacrylate “HEMA” and isobornyl acrylate “IBOA”) in amounts prohibited in children’s products by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act. After the resins cure, they no longer present this hazard.
